A is often true, but not necessarily. A is not a bad choice, as worded. I still think C is the best answer in that it is OFTEN hard to distinguish fact from opinion because opinion is presented as fact too often in biased web sites (and on TV). Then again, us tutors don't know what your text materials say, either.

the correct answer is A just got my paper graded and the correct answer is A for those of you needing the correct answer pick A the reason as to why it wouldn't be C is because it is often difficult to distinguish fact from opinion because opinion is presented as fact too often in biased web sites but the question is which one is not true about bias but C is true because it is often hard to tell so basically what I'm saying is the answer is A

To determine which of the given options is NOT true about bias, let's examine each option one by one.

a) Using both biased and non-biased resources in research will create bias results: This statement is true. If you use both biased and non-biased resources in your research, the biased information can influence and affect the overall results, leading to bias.

b) Bias can be identified by the facts that the Web site includes as well as the facts that are excluded: This statement is true. Bias can be identified not only by the information presented but also by the information that is deliberately omitted or excluded. By evaluating both the inclusion and exclusion of facts, one can identify potential bias.

c) In a biased website, it is often hard to distinguish fact from opinion and advertisements: This statement is also true. In biased websites, the presentation of facts may be distorted or mixed with personal opinions and advertisements, making it difficult to differentiate between objective facts and subjective elements.

d) Knowing the background of the author or organization helps readers to identify bias and conflicts of interest: This statement is true. Understanding the background of the author or the organization behind the information can provide insights into their potential biases and conflicts of interest, making it easier for readers to recognize any potential biases present.

Therefore, the statement that is NOT true about bias is c) In a biased website, it is often hard to distinguish fact from opinion and advertisements. This statement is true because biased websites often make it difficult to differentiate between facts, opinions, and advertisements.
