A quart of paint will cover 3/4 of a wall . how many quarts are required to cover four walls of the same size

set up a simple ratio ...
1/x = (3/4) / 4
(3/4)x = 4
3x = 16
x = 16/3
I will take 5 1/3 quarts
You will need to buy 6 quarts, (best bought as 1 gallon and 2 quarts)
or, (by the 3 step process)
3/4 wall takes 1 quart
one wall takes 1 / (3/4) quarts or 4/3 quarts
4 walls take 4(4/3) or 16/3 quarts , same as above
