if |x-h| < n, that means that

h-n < x < h+n

|7-8x| < 10
| 7/8 - x| < 5/4
so,
7/8-5/4 < x < 7/8+5/4
-3/8 < x < 17/8

or, x∊(-3,8,17/8)
