How do you tell time in spanish

4 answers

tiempo
Tito gave the literal translation for the word time.
Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. Divide the clock in half. Up to the half hour you use the word "and" = "y." From the half-hour to the next hour you use the word "less" = "menos."

For a.m. = de la mañana
For p.m. = de la tarde OR de la noche (after 5 p.m. or so)

P.S. Please post any other time that might cause you difficulty.
P.P.S. To ask what time it is = ¿Qué hora es?
