The graph of the linear equation y=mx+b has an x-intercept of 6. What is the x-intercept of the graph of the linear equation y=3mx+b?

when y = 0 , x = 6
0 = 6m + b
b = -6m

so for the second one
y = 3mx -6m
when y = 0
6 m = 3 m x
x = 2
