Which of the following boxes would have the strongest gravitational pull on a third object positioned at an equal distance from both boxes?
Box A: 100 g
Box B: 10,000 g
A. box b because it has more mass
B. box a because it has less mass
C. box a because it is bigger***
D. box b because it is smaller
check please!! thanks!!

C. am i right?

Oh, is it the one in asterisks (C)? If so, I don't think that is right. The sizes of the boxes aren't given, only the masses. Mass and size are two different things.

Yes lol.
There is no size on the paper for me. it just shows both boxes. box A is bigger than box B, and box A is 100 g and box B is 10,000 g
If it's not C I was also thinking answer choice D

Because we are talking about gravitational pull, size does not matter. Generally, the more mass something has, the stronger a gravitational pull it has on it's surroundings. Think of the Sun and Earth. The Earth orbits around the sun because the Earth has less mass than the sun and is attracted to it by forces of gravity and maintains its orbits.

Ms. Sue usually says something similar to --> "you had two guesses all ready. Please don't post this again." So, I'm gonna stop here because I've already had 2 guesses and I don't want it to seem like I'm not doing any work. Anyways, great explanation. Thanks for your help!!

No problem. I'm glad I could help. It's process of elimination. You'll get it!

so since you said size does not matter so the object with more mass is the one that has a stronger gravitational pull?? am i right??

I agree with IWatchAnimeAndStuff. Someone else had posted the answers, but I just knew some were wrong, so I figured it was a different test with a couple of the same questions. IDK WHAT TO DO!!!!! I had 4 lessons that I was supposed to finish yesterday, but we were gone from like 12:30-8:20, and my laptop wouldn't get a wifi signal and keep it on the road, so I couldn't really use it. And now I have 4 more today!!!
