recall that the line with slope m through (h,k) is
y-k = m(x-h)
which you can rearrange into slope-intercept form.
For the circle, try rewriting that as
x^2-2x + y^2+5y = -5
Now complete the squares
x^2-2x+1 + y^2+5y+25/4 = -5 + 1 + 25/4
(x-1)^2 + (y+5/2)^2 = 9/4
y-k = m(x-h)
which you can rearrange into slope-intercept form.
