How do I solve this equation (q+p^2-33p=9) for the point of elasticity in terms of p?

Thank you!

1 answer

It's just a quadratic in p:

q+p^2-33p = 9
p^2 - 33p + (q-9) = 0

Now just use the quadratic formula to get the two values for p.
