It's just a quadratic in p:
q+p^2-33p = 9
p^2 - 33p + (q-9) = 0
Now just use the quadratic formula to get the two values for p.
q+p^2-33p = 9
p^2 - 33p + (q-9) = 0
Now just use the quadratic formula to get the two values for p.
