A seems the most logical since rivers are part of a landscape.

Anonymous, the question asks about "landscape" art. Landscapes often do not include people at all. It's a poorly worded question. Cadance is taking the same course, so she/he knows. And any examples of Persian paintings I can find include, indeed, focus on people. The landscape is the background. The background often depicts water, as in a river. It's hard to answer questions here without knowing what your course materials discuss. In all cases, it's best to refer to your class reading material or what your teacher has said to answer any question.
