If a car travels first 100 kms by 40 km per hour speed and next 200 kms by 60 km per hour speed,then what is the average speed.

avg speed is total distance/total time
time = distance/speed, so
(100+200)/(100/40 + 200/60) = 360/7 km/hr
time = distance/speed, so
(100+200)/(100/40 + 200/60) = 360/7 km/hr
