I don't like any of the choices for question #1 but you've probably picked the best answer of the lot. (But it isn't anything to brag about. :-(
I agree with all of the others. Good work.

similar-behaving elements are in the same vertical column, and the properties that they share vary repeatably as you move down the columns. If the unknown substance is a shiny solid, odds are it's a metal. If the unknown substance fizzes, pops, or explodes in water, odds are it comes from column 1 or 2. If it's a non-reactive gas, it's a noble gas (column 18) If it's a crumbly, dull, brittle solid, it's a non-metal The real usefulness of the periodic table is in its predictive abilities, not just the list of information that may be contained in each square.

dont cheat
Pls, do not put the answers on this website, this should be a basis for learning and not cheating. This is not what this site was created for and it doesn't deserve to be mistreated. Please, FIND THE ANSWERS ON YOUR OWN. I come here to help find an explanation to questions i need help with, not to have the answers given to me, because you are not learning the information because as soon as you need to answer a question on i-step, what do you think is going to happen? Do you think you can turn to Jiskha? No, that is when you will need to KNOW the information. I know this is your choice, but make sure you know you are making the right one.
Answered by
To dont cheat
Ya know nobody really uses this site anymore I use it now and then to check my answers on stuff but other than that this site is pretty much dead.
