the length of a rectangle is 9 centimeters more than half the width . Find the length if the perimeter is 60cm.
I know the answer is 16 cm, but I got a different answer. please help

width = w
length = w/2 + 9
30 = half perimeter = w + w/2 + 9
21 = 3 w /2
w = 42/3
length = w/2 + 9 = 42/6 + 9
=7+9 = 16 sure enough
