Let's say you have invitations to go to two different parties. You think you SHOULD go to one, but really WANT to go to the other, so there is intrapersonal conflict. Whatever choice you make may affect your relationship with the host you turned down. Or you think someone has interesting things to talk about and you want to make friends with him/her, but she/he dresses in a manner you disapprove of, or repels you in some other way. Do you try to make friends or not? Lots of ways intrapersonal conflict affects relationship.
