Yes, I believe so. :) But the March to the Sea ended in Savanna, NOT Charleston, so your second guess would have been wrong.

The question about "total" war is a bit confusing. I think your answer is correct, but a case could be made for other answers. And, remember, Sherman's "march" was "total" war, leaving noting in it's wake, and had the desired result as well as the tactical result of further splitting the Confederacy.
