Because of the linking verb "is," your first choice is correct. Do you understand what a linking verb does and how it and the words after it are different from an action verb?

The "is" represents and "equals" sign. What is on one side of it is the same as what is on the other.
"It" is the subject ... the equals sign says that "Lateefa and I" is the same.
You would never use "me" as a subject.

i do not agree with either of you. the
sentence requires the objective form, therefore " it is me" is correct.
