A way to solve:
PEMDAS
P= parentheses
e=exponents (if any)
m= multiplication
d= division
a= adding
s= subtraction

A and S can be switched according to what thing comes first.

Parentheses:

11-6 = (5)

2*(5) = (10)

Do the Exponent:

(10)^2 = 100

Now add:

9 + 100 = 109

So, 109 is correct.
