I am a 2-digit even number. I am less than. 60. Add my digits to get 12. Subtract one of my digits from the other to get 4. What number am i?

x - y = 4

Add y to both sides.

x = y + 4

x + y = 12

Substitute y+4 for x in last equation and solve for y. Insert that value into the first equation and solve for x.
