I think she means
(x^2 + x -12)/(x-3)
= (x+4)(x-3)/(x-3)
= x + 4 , x ≠3
(f/g)(x) = x+4 , x ≠ 3
domain: any real number, x≠3
(x^2 + x -12)/(x-3)
= (x+4)(x-3)/(x-3)
= x + 4 , x ≠3
