Sam jumped off a diving board into a pool her height as a function of time is modeled by the function h (t)=-20 to the second power+20t+16 where t is time in seconds h is height in feet how long did it take sam to reach her highest height what is the highest point that she reached

I will assume you meant
h(t) = -20t^2 + 20t + 16
(Sam must be diving on some other planet than earth )
we need the vertex of this parabola
the x of the vertex is -b/(2a) = -20/(-40)
= 1/2
if x = 1/2 seconds
h = -20(1/4) + 20(1/2) + 16
= 21 ft
h(t) = -20t^2 + 20t + 16
