One does not set fire to the roof and then go to bed.
I think this is a compound sentence cos it has two sentences.
"one does not set fire to the roof."
and * is the coordinating conjunction
"go to bed."

No, it's a simple sentence with a single subject ("one") and a compound verb ("set" and "go").
