Question
Hello! I'm currently stuck on a ratio problem and do not understand how to work it. The question is: y+2 over y+7 = ll over 31. Please explain the answer and how to find it.
Answers
Is that
(y+2)/(y+7) = 11/31 ?? , (looks like ll instead of 11)
Are you solving for y ??
if so, just cross-multiply
31y + 62 = 11y + 77
20y = 15
y = 15/20 = 3/4
