Asked by Alex
suppose the force of 20.0 N pushes on two boxes of unknown mass. We know, however, that the acceleration of the boxes is 1.25 m/s2 and the contact force has a magnitude of 2.73 N.
(a) Find the mass of box 1.
(b) Find the mass of box 2.
So do I subtract the contact force from the applied force and then divide it by the acceleration? I just want to be sure.
