It isn't necessary to change screen names for different questions.
I have most often heard the term free calcium used in connection with the amount of calcium in solution (but not complexed). I have never heard it used in connection to the amount of Ca metal. For example, a solution containing 1g Ca^2+ ion and 2 g Ca(EDTA) would have 1 g free Ca
