(y-1)/(x+3) = 3/4
4(y-1) = 3(x+3)
4y-4 = 3x+9
3x-4y+13 = 0
Not sure where you want to go with this.
4(y-1) = 3(x+3)
4y-4 = 3x+9
3x-4y+13 = 0
Not sure where you want to go with this.

all I did was clear the fractions, just as you would if you were doing, say,
x/2 = 3/7
7x = 3*2
After that, I just expanded terms and simplified. You never said what you wanted to do with the fractions. Naturally, if y=4 and x=1,
(y-1)/(x+3) = 3/4
x/2 = 3/7
7x = 3*2
