. A stone is dropped from the top of a building that is 500m high. Disregarding air resistance how long does it take the stone to reach the ground?

Use kinematics equation:
Δx = vi(t) + (1/2)at²
vi=0
g=-9.8
-500=(1/2)(-9.8)t²
t=√(2(-500)/(-9.8))
=10.1 s (approximately)
Δx = vi(t) + (1/2)at²
vi=0
g=-9.8
-500=(1/2)(-9.8)t²
t=√(2(-500)/(-9.8))
=10.1 s (approximately)
