A person runs 800. m at an average speed of 6.00 m/s and then the next 800. m at an average speed of 8.00 m/s.
Calculate (a) the total time of travel and b) the average speed.

T1 = d1/r1 = 800/6 = 133.3 s.

T2 = d2/r2 = 800/8 = 100 s.

a. T1+T2 = 133.3 + 100 = 233.3 s.=Total
time of travel.

b. r = d/T = 1600m/233.3s = 6.86 m/s.
