If a person runs 1.87 meters per second, how many minutes will it take for them to complete a 5.0 kilometer race

time = distance/speed = km/(km/s) = s

so, plug and chug: 5.0km*(1000m/km)/(1.87m/s) = 2673.7 s = 44 min 33.7 sec
