There are 60 marbles in a bowl. Their colors are red, blue, and yellow. 1/3 of the marbles are yellow, 1/4 of the marbles are blue. How many red marbles are there in the bowl?

60 - 60/3 - 60/4 = ?

1/3 + 1/4 =
4/12 + 3/12 = 7/12 are blue or yellow
5/12 * 60 = 300/12 = 25 red
4/12 + 3/12 = 7/12 are blue or yellow

Yellow marbles =1/3×60=20 marbles
Blue marbles=1/4×60=15 marbles
So red marbles=total marbles-yellow marbles+ blue marbles=60-20+15
=60-35=25
Blue marbles=1/4×60=15 marbles
So red marbles=total marbles-yellow marbles+ blue marbles=60-20+15
=60-35=25
