Question

A 330kg crate slides down a 30 degree inclined plane. The total length of the plane is 3,6m. The crate is kept from accelerating by a man who is pushing back on it parallel to the incline.

Fc = m*g = 330kg * 9.8N/kg = 3234 N. =
wt. of crate.

Fp = 3234*sin30 = 1617 N. = Force
parallel to the incline.

Fe - Fp = m*a
Fe - Fp = m*0 = 0
Fe = Fp = 1617 N. = Force exerted.
