is this a good intro paragraph
use what you learned from reading "The Cask of Amontillado" to write an essay that provides an analysis of how the author creates the effect of surprise.

William Shakespeare asked, “If you prick us do we not bleed? If you tickle us do we not laugh? If you poison us do we not die? And if you wrong us shall we not revenge?”
Montresors definitely thought so. In the narrative “The Cask of Amontillado” by Edgar Allen Poe, he creates the effect of surprise by planning an act of revenge. Edgar Allen Poe uses an array of literary and stylistic devices to create suspense in the short story by using first person point-of-view, several different types of irony, and the use of flashback and foreshadowing.

Please remember that Montresor (his name) doesn't have an "s" on the end.

ok

how does first point of view in the cask of amontillado build suspense?

i have this
Edgar Allen Poe uses first person point-of-view to help contribute the chilling and suspenseful tone of the selection. By using first person of view the reader is able to understand what Montresor is planning. “At length I would be avenged; this was a point definitely, settled…I must not only punish but punish with impunity.”

Is the reader using the first person point of view? This sentence needs to be reworded.
