Question

When a stone is thrown upwards with an initial velocity of v metres per second, it reaches a maximum height of h metres.
h is directly proportional to the square of v.

Calculate the value of v when h = 50

Please help

y = vt - 4.9t^2

max height h is at t = v/9.8, so
h = v^2/19.6

v^2 = 50*19.6
v = 31.3 m/s
