1. The verb "to pass/spend the time doing someething" (s'amuser à) requires the preposition "à" before an infinitive.
2. The verb "comprendre" does not require a preposition before a following infinitive.

The adverb "habituellement" is better placed after the infinitive here (J'ai besoin de me dépêcher habituellement) or at the very beginning "Habituellement, j'ai besoin de....etc.
