Noting to "solve" here, since you have 2 unknowns there would be an infinite number of solutions.
What can you do with it?
- perhaps graph it, by ...
sub in any x you feel like
e.g. let x = 3, then y = -2) ---> point (3,-2)
let x = 0 , then y = 4 ---------> point (0,4)
let x = 45.78, then y = -87.56 --> point (45.78, -87.56)
etc. to infinity
