(100x^3y^-2)/(64x^7y^4)

5 answers

Please simplify completely :)
100/64 = 25/16

x^3 / x^7 = 1/x^4

y^-2 / y^4 = 1/y^6

so (100x^3y^-2)/(64x^7y^4)
=25/(16 x^4 y^6)
wait isn't (y^-2)/(y^4)=y^2?
nope

(y^-2) times y^4 would be y^2, but you were dividing, so you have to subtract the exponents
-2 - 4 = -6
Ohh right thank you
