the perimeter of a rectangular garden is 40 meters. the length of the garden is 1 meter less than twice its with. what are the dimensions of the garden?

2(w + 2w-1) = 40
2(3w-1) = 40
3w-1 = 20
3w = 21
w = 7

so, the garden is 7 x 13 meters
