Can You Help Me Ms. Sue Or Someone?
Ms. Sue, unfortunately, passed away a few years back, let me look into your questions and I'll see if I can help. Also, what grade is this?
5) I'm not sure about this one, because I don't know how it's getting solved.
----------------------------------
6) I'm unsure if we are supposed to be adding the 7 and the 2n. If the answer was four, and if you are adding the 7 and the 2n then the remainder at the end is -1. Let's go through it:
-4n + 7 2n = 1
-4 x 4 + 7 + 2 x 4 = 1
in an easier way to solve we'll do this
( -4 x 4 ) + 7 (2 x 4) = 1
(-16 + 7 )+ 8 = 1
-9 + 8 = 1 ?
is not correct because it would be -1 and not 1.
The correct answer would be 3.

(-4 x 3) + 7 (2 x 3) = 1
(-12 + 7) + 6 = 1
-5 + 6 = 1
----------------------------------
7) 4(y - 4) = 8
7 would be 6 because 6-4 is 2. When four is multiplied by two it would be 8.
----------------------------------
8) is correct, good work!
