4. Why do you think the British were able to prevent the Germans from invading their country? Do you think Hitler was wise in canceling the attempted invasion?
A: I think the Bristish were able to prevent the Germans from invading their country because of the people's strong will, their strong air force, and their development of radar. Because Hitler called off the invasion of Dunkirk, the British were given a three-day delay, which was long enough to evacuate 338,000 British and French troops. So, I do not think Hitler was wise in canceling the attempted invasion. If anything, it was a poor move on his part.

3. World War I or WWII? Pearl Harbor was WWII.
4. Radar helped, strong will helped. However, the failing invasion of Russia played a great part.
Again, your thinking is as good as I, however, his error was going into Russia first, it cost him dearly.
I agree with bobpursley that Hitler's invasion of Russia first was a fatal mistake on his part. I'm not really sure what Dunkirk had to do with it. Dunkirk was on the European continent, so Hitler's taking of that city had nothing to do with the invasion he planned. The evacuation of British troops did enable the U.K. to maintain its army, which would have been basically defeated if it had been captured at Dunkirk, so it had a role in that sense when it came to Hitler's planned invasion of the British isles.
