Slope intercept form: y = mx + b Slope m = ( y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) Once you find m, substitute that into y = mx + b. Then use one of the two given points and substitute them into the previous equation. This will enable you to solve for b.

Draw this on a graph. Put point A on the positive y-axis. From A, draw a line that looks to represent 80 degrees, to the x-axis at point B. The distance from the origin to B is what you want to find. In that right triangle with right angle at the origin,...

here's how DVD + BR = 10 and 12 X DVD + 23 X BR = 153 solve first equation for BR in terms of DVD then substitute in the second equation
12 years ago
Yep. Like how you showed you got the answer.

This means that 1 inch on the blueprint represents 72 inches in the room. Then, 2 on the blueprint would represent how many inches in the room? Change your answer of inches to feet.
Well, in the second equation of the first pair, solve for y in terms of x. Now take that value of y and substitute it in the first equation of the first pair. Simply that equation and solve for x

In the last question that you asked for help, I told you to put 8 in the blank spaces. Do you know why I chose 8? What number will you put in the blank spaces this time?
You are solving the equation w - 8 = 26 If you add 8 to the left side of the equation, you will have only w on the left side. But, if you add 8 to the left side of the equation you must add 8 to the right side of the equation w - 8 + 8 = 26 + 8 w = ?

right

Does middle of circle mean diameter or radius?
Does the line cut the circle in half? If so, it is a diameter. Otherwise it would be a radius. C = pi * d Or C = 2 * pi * r d represents length of diameter and r represents length of radius. Use 3.14 for pi.

Change 6 3/4 feet to inches divide that by 8 inches to get the number of boards. Or, you can change 8 inches to 8/12 or 2/3 feet and divide 6 3/4 feet by 2/3 feet to get number of boards.

Oops! I misread the question. After you find number of pieces, multiply it by either 8 inches or 2/3 feet. That tells you how much wood was used. Now subtract the amount of wood used from 6 3/4 feet. I used 2/3 feet for 8 inches.

The 4 angles of a trapezoid add up to 360. Since you give the measures of three of those angles, add then subtract to find the fourth angle.
Notice the difference between the outputs is 2. If you multiply the inputs by 2, it does not give the outputs. But each output is 3 more than what multiplying by 2 gives. So, the rule must be 2n + 3 Does this make sense?
What did you get when you added 86 + 41 + 133?
Something is wrong with the information you have given us. 100 does make the four angles add up to 360 but each pair of angles between the parallel bases has to add up to 180 and with this information, they do not. Are the parallel bases AB and CD?
