Find the slope of the tangent line to the curve (a lemniscate) 2(x^2+y^2)^2=25(x^2–y^2) at the point (–3,1) . I know that we are supposed to use chain rule for this problem but i think i am messing up on the algebra. Can someone please help me, i keep on...

Use implicit differentiation to find the slope of the tangent line to the curve y/x+6y=x^2–6 at the point (1,–5/31) . Again i think i'm messing up with the algebra here. I used quotient rule to get [(x+6y)(y')-(y)(1+6y')]/(x+6y)^2=2x I don't know how to g...

Can someone look at my work and see what i did wrong. I did this 100 times but i keep getting it wrong Sketch the region enclosed by the given curves. Decide whether to integrate with respect to x or y. Then find the area of the region. 2y=3x^(1/2) , y=4...

Consider the area between the graphs x+1y=12 and x+8=y2 . This area can be computed in two different ways using integrals First of all it can be computed as a sum of two integrals Interval a to b f(x)= i put 12-x but it's wrong Interval c to b f(x)= i put...
