Hey, shouldn't it be (x+1)^2 lets say: q1=2.4 q2=-5.6 q3=proton q3--x---q1----d-----q2 d=1 Therefore: F23=K|q2||q3|/(x+1)^2 Also after solving the quadratic I got x=1.8956...cm x=-0.395....cm The question asks for x-cord, x is the distance from the origin...
