i think I figured it out would it be 0.30*56=16.8 16.8*0.15=2.52 which is the discount. 16.8-2.52=$14.28 so the coat costs $14.28 dollars?

No actually, we just learnt these and I 've been having trouble gripping how to do them! sorry. I just needed help understanding the steps on how to do it. So no I actually don't know how to do them yet and was trying to get a better idea on the procedure needed to solve these. But thank you anyways I think I get it now!!
