Why is this essay question confusing me so much! I don't know where to begin with it. im sure its not as complicating as i am making it.
Could it be your phone number?
Start by subtracting 2 from both sides. This gives -5x >= 3x -16 Then, subtract 3x from both sides. This gives -8x >= -16 Then, divide by -8 on both sides x>=2 so, a. would be your answer I believe
I think its 42 * .10 = 4.2in but don't quote me

Thanks, I know now where I went wrong. I need to ask something else. Comp. Q has just paid a dividend of $1.40 per share. Its dividend is expected to grow at 5% per year perpetually. If the required return is 10%, what is the value of a share in Company Q? I think I use formula p0 = Div/r-g but I don't know where the required rate of return comes into play. I know: g=.05 r= Retention Ratio=90% Req. rate of return=10% growth rate in Div. of (.9*.1)=9%
I have the ti-83 (love it) but doesn't do conversions. you will have to upgrade to ti-85 or higher for that.
But this is not in a ratio to a whole number. I was thinking more of 9/5... Thanks though

Hi, I am not a teacher but I know this stuff. You are correct. When multiplying or dividing by neg number you always reverse the sign.
Thanks - didn't think to check there! It looks like I was correct!
Nevermind, I actually found the answer! I was way off!

I understand that is the equation but I can not figure out how I get the numbers. I know the equation is ph= pka + log [salt]/[acid] I know pka is -logKa but I do not know how to get the numbers for the [salt] or the [acid] to divide. I have an extremely HORRENDOUSLY bad college professor who pretty much says he is trying to weed out the potentially bad nurses that cannot do these things.

1. Break your figure up and look to see how mnay shapes you have. Once you have broken the figure down into squares, rectangles, triangles, or parallelograms you can use the formulas below to find the area of each individual shape. square = side x side rectangle = length x width triangles = 1/2 (base x height) parallelograms = base x height 2. After you have found the are of all of your little shapes, you may add them all up and that will give you the area of the compound figures. Compound just means more than one so just remeber that a compound figure is a combination of the regular shapes mentioned above.

it doesnt matter if the wind blows, so its the same frequency. In your case 450.
p: percentage (4.5% is burned in 155s) m:mass of rocket u:fuelspeed in meter/s! v=u*ln(1/(1-p))=1500*ln(1/0.955) a=v/t = 69.065/155= 0.4455
because they ask you for half of the time, so in your case in 145 it gets burned 5% in 145 seconds
@Writeacher I think she already did that, it's says (my choice) after the answers :D

How do I get the number of moles of H2O
Find the mass of water (H2O) needed to react with 150 grams of potassium (K) 2K(s) + 2 H2O (g)-2KOH +H2(g) How do I get the number of moles in H2O? Desperate to understand this. I got K= 150g./39.0983=3.84 mols of K. Then would it be 3.84(2mols H2O/7.68) How do I get the proper equation to figure out what 2 moles of H2O would be. If you can walk me through this problem I will understand it and be able to continue with my work. Please help.
Thank you

okay so P=W/t so the force is the torque from the first problem and you need to find the d ang. acc. = wf/t so you use that to plug into the formula: wf^2= wi + 2(alpha)(d) change wi to zero and substitue wf/t into alpha and solve for d use that as the d for Fxd/T and you'll get Iwf^2/T2
