this problem looks incorrect in my opinion not sure about it I followed the steps but it still doesn't look right. trying to find out what the x is = to 9x + 7=5 So I do 9x9=81 81+7=88 So what I did was 88-5= 83 x83?

Is this done right? to have a solution but both sides of the equal sign must be the same. An example would be 2-x=1. You subtract the 1 from each side, (2-1)= (1-1), making x=1. Plug it back in 2-1=1. The 2-1 equals 1 which is the same number on the other...

the original problem is 3+x(12*4)-24 and I thought because by 12* 4= 48 then by adding 3 that gave me 51 then I subtracted 24 and that left me with 27 so I divided 48 by 27 and that gave me 1.7 so i placed 1.7 as the x and it's on the other line showing h...
