the equation you use is: 200=w(10+w) 200=10w+w^2 w^2+10w-200 = 0 (w+20)(w-10)= 0 w = -20 or 10 it has to be positive so the answer is 10. The width is 10 yards and the length is 20 yards

The width equals x, and the length equals 4+x. If the area is 140, then we should have gotten that by doing length times height. Set it up as (x)(4+x)=140. Distribute the x and you would get x^2+4x=140. Since its quadratic, it must be equal to zero. So, m...

Find the volume of the smaller one by using a proportion. The volume is 150, and then just divide it by 3. Pretty simple once you get it, and your answer would be 50 sec.
Use the equation vertex=-b/2a. b would be 12 a would be -2 That gets you the x value of the vertex, which is 3. Plug in 3 for x now to get y. y=-2(3)^2+12(3)-13 y=36+36-13 y=59. Your vertex is (3,59).

Omg I hate clowns haha. So the area of a circle is A=pi(r^2), and you know that the area of the circle is 2,123 square feet, right? So just set them equal as 2,123=pi(r^2), and solve for r, or the radius. Just divide both sides by pi and then square root...
