He just got back to me, there was a typo, it was surposed to be 34°s, 18°e, which is Capetown.

Ahhh I'm sorry that's my fault! I thought you were trying to find the new price. Okay so the equation would be: 82.97 = 20 Then cross multiply ______________ X 100
82.97-(82.97*.20)
Always positive. Because you multiply a number by itself to get the answer to a square root, and since two of the same signs (positive or negetive) always are positive (-2X-2 is still positive 4) the square root of a # is always positive.
Well f(x) really just means y (becase it literally means function of x) so it's saying y=9-x Now you just solve for x. :) :) :)
Maybe fire for hot? And pissibly ice or a glacier for cold? or you could draw a faucet with water running and steam rising for hot. Or ice cream for cold! :D Hope this helped.
