6!= 1x2x3x4x5x6 = 720 3!= 1x2x3 = 6 therefore 6!/3! = 720/6 = 120
solve for x: x-1=1 x=1+1 x=2 plug x=2 into the first equation & solve for y: 2+y=1 y=1-2 y=-1
Solve for ONE of the variables in ONE of the equations, then plug that into the OTHER equation. For example if you have 1. x + 3y = 5 2. 2x - 6y = -2 Solve for x in eq. 1. -----> x = 5 - 3y Plug 5 - 3y into eq. 2 -----> 2(5-3y)-6y= -2 10-6y-6y=-2 10-12y=-2
What kind of triangle is it? If it is an isosceles triangle, you can set the equations equal to each other and solve for x.
