Now add the P(blue is less than 3) = 1/3
1/36 + 1/3 = ?
1/36 + 12/36 = 13/36
Therefore, P(blue is less than 3 and the product is 8)= 13/36

I think you just take your two points and find the absolute value of b-a, a and b being your two points...
so, if 2 1/2 = a
and 5 3/4 = b
and d= distance
d= |b-a|
d= |5 3/4 - 2 1/2|
d= 3 1/4
