I can be in a classroom between classes, after class, before class or in the middle of the night. That does not mean I am IN CLASS at the moment. Class may or may not be in session. #4 means the class is in session and I am in it.
Your course is called "laney college"? I'm sure the college is worth studying to determine its academic excellence, etc., but what does that have to do with anything we can help you with?

#1 is best. If the class is well-known as "class 1-2" instead of "math class", that is fine, too. To say one is a student in the class does not tell where the student is at the moment, but merely that he/she is taking the class when it meets (which may be
1, 3, and 4 are correctly stated. We do not say we are a student OF a class. We say we are a student IN a class. We may be a student of the teacher (among others), but not OF the class.
