When I graphed it, I got a reciprocal function not a parabola. I don't know how to find a minumum that's not a parabola or a cubic. Should I just go with the guess and check and call it 20 X 20?
Ok, well now I'm really confused. I thought about substituting 400/x into y but I still don't have anything to put it equal to. Can you please try to explain it.

f(x)=7x-4 So, you substitute: a. 7(0)-4=-4 b. 7(-3)-4=-25 can you take it from here?
I understand how you got a and b, but I am confused with c. What is differentiate and how did you get the equation dA/dx = 72 - 6x^2
Thank you for your guidance! Have a great night.
Ok, so I got x=0 x=1 x=0 x=-1 is that right?
Thanks so much. Any ideas on my other question?
I used the same equation you said then put it in the graphing calculator and found the intersection points. I'm thinking that you would put [.42,9.46) to show that it is more than .42 and less than 9.46.
:) Thanks!
Ok, so you're using the pathagorean theorum. I'm a bit rusty on my geometry so does that make it a right scalene?
Thanks so much for your explanation. I was able to figure it out and now got your answer.
