Hi Sara, What you do is divide 32 by 86 and that gives you the percent of seniors on the football team
15 years ago
No, it's not 57%. divide 32 by 86 and multiply by 100. If rounding to the nearest whole number, you get 37% which makes sense since 32 seniors is a bit less than half (50%) of the whole team.

Then he hiked 2174 miles

Hi Reiny, Yes, I got that far. I even came up with a line, but am looking to see what others get as my line, when graphed, is not perpendicular to the other line mentioned in the prob (5x-6=3y)

then 2174 miles

Yes, I could agree with your interpretation of the 2nd verse's meaning

Hi, All you do is multiple the fraction 1/2 by 16 and then by 3. You should get 24mm
15 years ago
divide 102 by 150. Then, multiply the answer by 100
15 years ago
8 x 1000 > 1000

the formula for the volume of a sphere is (4/3)pie r^3 So, (4/3) * 3.14 * r^3 to find the radius, divide the diameter by 2, so it has a readius of 5 ft Now, plug in the numbers to the formula and solve. That is the answer for the volume of that sphere. NO...

1) 2 out of 5 days it rained. 5 goes into 30 6 times, sooo, multiple 6 by 2, and you get 12 days it did not rain in April. Apply that same concept to the 3 out of 5 days it does rain...you get 18 days it DID rain, so the answer would be 18 (days it rained...

14+22-36+36 go from left to right and solve
15 years ago
You've only got part of it. You need to multiply the 1/2 by "a" and then add THAT to the product of "a" * 1/3. So the answer would be a^2 + 5/6a + 1/6
15 years ago
2*(4^2 +1) :-)

The ? is not clear to me

Ms Sue, are you saying (hopefully :-) that 0 divided by 0 is not possible? Just need clarification for graphing purposes. Helen said it's 0, but I'm hoping that THAT is not the case, and that it is: not possible

When you calculate it, the answer should be 5.74kj
